Ladies shoes specially made to mark the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee were unveiled in the celebration window at Foster & Son on Jermyn Street yesterday evening.
The shoes made by Caroline Groves have fully enclosed uppers of white vegetable tanned leather embroidered with English Stump work, French and bullion knots in antique silver thread.
Shoes by Caroline Groves were worn by model Sam Rollinson for Damian Fox’s latest photo shoot in ‘How To Spend It’ the luxury life style magazine by the Financial Times. The photographs entitled ‘Twenties Vision’ featured dazzling flapper-style evening dresses with dropped waists and fabulous embellishments.

On Thursday 9 February at 7.30pm Caroline Groves will be speaking at Home House, a private member’s club in Portman Square, London.
In her talk entitled ‘Couture Shoe Shoemaking with Caroline Groves’ she will explain the attention to detail, care, thought, craftsmanship and passion that every shoe is created with in her Cotswold workshop.
Caroline Groves is delighted to have a new West End London location in which to see her clients at Foster & Son, 83 Jermyn Street. Foster & Son, established in 1840, have an enviable reputation for the finest traditionally made gentlemen's shoes in the world.
Caroline Groves is enormously honoured to be invited in to this prestigious shoemaking heritage and for the opportunity to develop women's shoemaking; revisiting the traditional techniques of a hand sewn and hand stitched construction in a heeled shoe. Caroline will be available to see clients at Foster & Son on a Thursday and Friday by appointment.
