Caroline Groves is a designer/shoemaker. She offers a bespoke shoemaking
service rather than a seasonal collection of styles. This means that the design
for eachindividual client is arrived at through a collaboration with Caroline.
The finished shoes will be truely unique to the client.

Caroline's shoes are often whimsical or quixotic, reminiscent of a previous age
and utilising some of the finest and most interesting leathers available. She will
source leathers especially for you and suggest vintage trims or commission pieces
for your shoes from other craftspeople. This could be silver buckles, jewelled details, carved heels or even having your shoes 'illustrated' by an artist.

Having recently moved from the Guild House once occupied by C.R. Ashbee
in the early 20th century. Caroline has her own workshop in the attics of
a medieval farmhouse.

"To say I am thrilled would be an understatement. Absolutley exquisitely
beautiful. Total and complete ecstacy.
I can't stop looking at them and the fit is perfect."

Pamela Hull

"My brown suede & croc peep toes are such little troopers, I must have them again in black!"

Philippa Juul

"Caroline Groves is a shoe artist; she creates the perfect shoes I always imagined but could never find. It was very exciting to work with Caroline. So much is possible, and the materials she uses are so wonderful. Her shoes are beautiful objects and friends of my feet."
