Caroline Groves is delighted to be judging the eighth annual Footwear Friend Awards alongside Georgina Goodman, Malcolm Collins and Steve Bracewell. Taking place at St. Mary-at-Hill Church, Eastcheap, London on 6 November 2014 the awards recognise developing British shoe design talent and the event is a chance to network for those in the footwear trade.
This year’s award categories are:
- The Worshipful Company of Cordwainers Award for Innovation of £5,000 and 12 months mentoring by industry specialists.
- The MicroPak Ltd Award of £2,500 to assist the development of exceptional British talent.
- The Meltzer Travel Award of £750 to assist the winner in attending key trade shows.
Footwear Friends is a charity which provides financial assistance to people who have worked in the Shoe Trade but have fallen on hard times. Established in 1836, they are the only charity dedicated solely to the support of those have served the footwear industry, whether in design, manufacture, distribution, retail or repair.
