Bespoke women’s shoemaker Caroline Groves unveils her vintage inspired platform shoes for the ‘Best of British’ shoe exhibition taking place at Northampton Museum and Art Gallery.
Caroline’s platforms will be displayed along with special loans from celebrated British designers including Vivienne Westwood, Alexander McQueen and Tricker’s who were all asked “What a British Shoe meant to them”.
Northampton Museum and Art Gallery is home to the largest collection of shoe heritage in the world. The ‘Best of British’ exhibition is a celebration of British style and design and is part of Northampton’s summer long Shoe Town Festival 2010 programme of events.
Admission is free. The exhibition runs until the 19th September
